Requirements for Membership—Who Can Be a Member of GTSO
The GTSO is an organization aiming to protect the interests of table soccer players worldwide. It is not possible for an individual player to become a member of GTSO; instead only organizations of certain types can become members of GTSO.
Any such organization wishing to become a member of the GTSO, is required to fill out the membership application form and send it to the GTSO executive board, together with a copy of the statutes of the organization requesting membership. The executive board will decide upon the request. The membership form can be handed in by email, fax or conventional mail.
The GTSO sees itself as a »table-soccer players union«, so most of our members will be players associations of different kinds; but that does not rule out other types of table-soccer related organizations from becoming GTSO members:
Types of organizations that can become GTSO members
The following list names the specific requirements for the different kinds of organizations that can become members of GTSO. If you feel we have forgotten your organization type in this list, contact the GTSO office; we will check if your organization fits in with the general aims of GTSO and revise this draft to include your organization type in the next version.
Of course, in all cases a member organization also has to observe the general requirements listed in the section »Duties of Members«.
Players associations / unions / federations: To become a member of GTSO, your organization has to have a minimum size, which is currently set as representing at least 50 players.
Other table soccer associations or federations (national or international), or table soccer sections of other sports associations: Same as above.
Non-commercial tournament organizers: Your organization can become a member of GTSO if you are organizing tournaments at any level on a regular basis.
Commercial tournament organizers: Same as non-commercial tournament organizers.
Other organizations: If your organization does not fit any of the types listed above, you can still be a member of GTSO if you agree with the general goals of GTSO and our rules and statutes. Just contact us, and we will decide about your request for membership individually. GTSO does not rule out any type of table-soccer related organization from becoming a member.
Rights and Duties of Members
Please read the GTSO statutes, which give a list of rights and duties of members—in short, we don't ask money of you; we just wish you to support our goals and participate in the process of promoting table soccer in the world. In return, you get the benefit of using your membership in an international organization to promote your own table-soccer activities.
The actual membership form is contained in the following PDF document.
You can either print out that form and fill it in the traditional way, or use Acrobat Reader to fill in the form electronically. Then, send the completed form via email, fax or tradional mail to the following address:
